DNA maternity tests are used to establish the biological relationship between an alleged mother and a child. The test works in exactly the same way as a cheap paternity test, and the results guarantee minimum probabilities in excess of 99.99%+ for inclusion of maternity (meaning the tested mother is the biological mother, and 100% for exclusion (meaning that the tested mother is not the biological mother). The cost of our paternity test is $119.
Why use a maternity test?
- In the case of foundlings or adopted children, a maternity test can be an important step in locating an absent mother. Maternity DNA testing has in rare cases been used by clients who have undergone gestational surrogacy. In this type of surrogacy, an ovum from a donor and a sperm from another donor are implanted into the uterus of the surrogate mother. To ensure that the correct ovum was used during fertilized (that the ovum from the intended mother was used), clients seek the help of a maternity test.
Fast 3-5 working day results
Maternity testing can be carried out between mother and child, providing extremely accurate results. Samples are easy to collect as all we require are saliva samples collected by means of oral swabs. Oral swabs are not only great because they have a very high chance of successful extraction of DNA in our laboratory but also because anyone can collect their own samples using this plain sailing method. Just rub the swabs we provide inside the mouth for around 10 seconds and send them off to the laboratory for testing. Our results will be issued in just 3-5 working days from the moment we receive your samples at our laboratory.
Note: We can only guarantee standard result turnaround time when testing takes place solely using oral swab samples. Using a discreet sample for your test may lead to an increase in turnaround time.
We do not offer express testing if you choose to send a discreet sample. We can offer express testing only if you use mouth swabs.
Our DNA maternity test will accurately confirm if the tested, alleged mother is the biological mother or not. The Laboratory carrying out your test is ISO 17025 accredited.
