Hair Drug testing, the newest addition to EasyDNA’s product portfolio
International DNA testing company EasyDNA introduces Hair Drug testing – a test which accurately detects drugs used up to 90 days prior to testing using just a hair sample.
Elk Grove, USA January 28, 2019 – Following awareness about growing drug consumption worldwide plus requests from corporate partners and past clients, EasyDNA launched one of its first non-DNA related testing services, the Hair Drug test. Commenting on the launch, a company representative stated, “An opportunity arose to team up with a highly accredited laboratory and start offering a Hair Drug test capable of meeting the market’s growing requirements. The Hair Drug test is relatively easy to perform. It only requires a hair sample (normally 90 to 120 strands of hair) which is screened for the use of illicit substances such as amphetamine, cocaine or opiates through the use of Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) methodology and a variety of mass spectrometry techniques. The test can accurately detect drugs used up to 90 days prior to testing and the company is promising to deliver results within 3 working days only. The test has a number of advantages over more traditional test types such as urine in that it can detect drugs for a longer period of time and results cannot be altered through the use of shampoos or any other external contaminants or chemicals.
The introduction of this test is another initiative by EasyDNA towards its goal of further expanding its product portfolio following the launch of tests such as the dog allergy test and intolerance testing.
